Birthday Dinner

I am one year older, yayyyyyy! I am so happy and grateful for another year in this world. I know this is the food section, so why am I talking about my birthday.........I am getting to it.

My husband decided to take me to get some seafood for my birthday, so we took a trip to Red Bank NJ. It was my first time being there, I did not get enough time to explore the place so I will surely be back!! We spent the night at Molly Pitcher Inn, very nice place, the room was small but not bad. The Inn is located on the river and the view is AMAZING!! There is also a nice outdoor pool, I will definitely visit again. Ok, where was I, ah hah my birthday dinner. The Inn has a restaurant but we had dinner at Char Steakhouse.

I was really excited about my visit to Char Steakhouse because I was bent on devouring some sea food, heard from my husband's friend that it was good!! We got a table outside, I would have preferred a table inside but it is what it is.

We got started on some bread and we the choice of tap or bottled water, I went for bottled. Then he asked, bubbles or flat, I took bubbles of course, so fancy!! For my drink, I wanted something that looked good, tasted good and was non-alcoholic, so decided to go for a mocktail. I just discovered Mocktails from a friend of a friend and here I was ordering a Mocktail like a pro. Unfortunately, there were no Mocktails, so I settled for a Virgin Margarita, with the salt and all. It was good, very refreshing, added a video below for your pleasure.

I decided to get an appetizer, after all it was my birthday and since I love trying new foods, I got the Tuna and Avocado Tatar. Sushi is new to me, I had it for the first time over 12 years ago. Then I had Tuna Tartar in September 2021, in Atlanta, actually my friend ordered it and I had some. So when I saw this on the menu, I thought , "Why not?' I must admit, it did not disappoint, very succulent and delicious. I need another word for delicious, I will google it. My husband and kids did not share the same sentiment, good thing I only ordered for myself, the presentation was also creative and showy. See below video, what do you think?

As stated earlier, I was there for the seafood so I ordered Lobster and Loaded Baked Potato for my main course, that too was mouthwatering (hah, googled another word for delicious). It was a 2lb lobster and I cleaned it up!! The waiter said that is the cleanest he had ever seen a lobster eaten, but I forgot to take an after picture as I was too busy thinking about dessert.

Since it was my birthday. I got a chocolate Mouse cake and the waiter added a candle on it for me, how thoughtful!! The music in the background is my baby entertaining herself with Coco Melon videos

Their take away bag was very fancy, you can absolutely reuse!! So what did I have to take away after cleaning up the Lobster, you ask. Good question.....I had some cake left.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Our waiter was friendly and gave us exceptional service. Being the foodie that I am, I still have a lot to experience but I would definitely recommend this place as the food was delectable!! My kids' had the Pork Chop, of course I took a taste and it was SOOO GOOD!! Char Steakhouse was fabulous, on to the next adventure!!
